I'm Canadian!!

What a terrific Christmas gift! Jenny got her Canadian Citizenship on December 14, 2006! It only took 6 months for her application to be processed. We received her papers on December 27. Naturally it called for a photo shoot to mark the event!

The Four Seasons with Jenny

Jenny enjoys her favorite playground activity be it spring, summer, autumn or winter time! The SWING!

Back Home in Vancouver (May 5, 2006)

We're back home in Vancouver! Our journey to China started on April 24 and ended on May 5, 2006. It was a whirlwind 12 days but all worth it! Now we'll try to settle into some sort of routine as a new family, all the while discovering new horizons together!

Our Adoption Group from Canada

Here we are with our fellow Canadians at the Great Wall of China with our new bundles of joy. We hailed from British Columbia, Alberta & Nova Scotia...14 families in all. (May 3, 2006)

Jenny is now with us!

We made the long flight from Vancouver to Beijing to Chongqing then a 3 hour bumpy bus ride the following morning to Fengdu to meet Jenny for the first time at her orphanage. Suddenly, we became an instant family!! April 26 marks the day this all happened.

Jenny here we come! We'll be heading to China April 24, 2006 to meet Jenny for the first time and to bring her home!! Wah-hoo!! We'll be flying from Vancouver straight to Beijing then Chongqing where Jenny is waiting for us. We'll be there for the first part of our stay to complete the adoption process. Then we'll head for Beijing to complete the Canadian component of her coming to Canada as our little girl! Then it's homeward bound May 5!

March 2, 2006 is Proposal Day!!

Today, we received our proposal from China of a baby girl to adopt!! We've waited 9 months and 2 weeks to hear from China and now we're got our little girl!! Her name is Feng Fu Mi but we'll be calling her Jenny.

Her birthday is Feb 14, 2005, the Year of the Rooster.

We instantly fell in love with her when we saw her picture for the first time. How can you resist those big, beautiful round eyes?? She's so cute and adorable and we just wanted to hug her and bring her home.

But alas, that's the next step. We'll be making plans to travel to China in the next few weeks to bring her home. We can't wait!! She's such a darling.

Journey to Jenny

We welcome you to share in our journey to Jenny!

Hi, we're Dan & Anabelle. Currently, we're waiting for our proposal from China of a little girl that we can adopt. Jenny will be her name.

Our log in date to China for our dossier is May 18, 2005. So hopefully our wait won't be much longer!

Hm....I wonder, will our little Jenny be born in the Year of the Monkey (2004) or in the Year of the Rooster (2005)? Guess we won't know till we receive our proposal.
